Our tanks are high impact resistant, one piece moulded and the material used is specifically formulated for use in diesel fuel tank applications.

The wall thickness is 10mm.

All brackets are manufactured from steel and then dipped into a Zinc Cobalt Alloy solution providing corrosion resistance that is 6 times higher than hot dip galvanising.

All brackets use existing chassis bolt holes so no chassis drilling is necessary.

The full kit allows for the filling to be on the left hand side to match the existing factory fill.

 

The fuel system is designed to pump across to the main tank at approximately 20Lts/15minutes when the vehicle is turned off. This retains the calculations within the vehicle's computer system for the on board calculations of fuel consumption.

WaterWatch Alarm System:

New Diff Breather  Water Watch

 

Water is the main cause of damage to fuel system components in high tech modern engines. It can cause engine parts to seize due to poor lubrication and also produces rust and corrosion in internal metal areas that in turn causes pump and injector damage.

 

The Water Watch trap assembly assists in detecting and removing water in the vehicles fuel supply prior to it entering the fuel system. It is capable of detecting minute amounts of free water, triggering an LED warning light and audible warning in the vehicle cabin

WaterWatch is positioned high in the engine bay where it is easily seen.  

  

 

Water Watch also collects debris and particulates in the glass collector bowl, along with any water that has come from your fuel supply.

Water Watch does not replace the vehicles genuine filter assembly, and is fitted prior to the original unit to assist in warning of water about to enter the vehicle fuel system. It is not a filter, so it does not cause any restriction to fuel pressure or flow.

Travelling Overseas?
Then you should be concerned about high sulphur fuels.

All current Euro 5 and 6 built vehicles have engines that are designed for low sulphur content fuels. However, not all countries have low sulphur fuel available, and without some additional protection to your fuel system high sulphur fuel can do untold damage to your engine.

Furthermore if water gets into the high pressure fuel pump that really bad because the lubrication is gone.The sulphur in the fuel is there as a lubricant, and reducing the sulphur content is good for the environment but poses a problem in the high tech motors. It is the water in the fuel that turns the sulphur into sulphur dioxide and it is that, that damages the injectors. The higher sulphur in fuel level mean potentially higher levels of sulphuric acid in your injectors if your system also contains some water.

The chemical effect is actually secondary.

The key is removing the water and thus the fitment of a high quality water filter and warning device.    

 

The use of aftermarket fuel additive lubricants is also an advantage.

 

Running a diesel engine with higher sulphur levels, will also break down the engine oil faster than with low sulphur fuel. Our suggestion is to also change engine oil more regularly. Engine oil is relatively cheap compared to a destroyed engine.

Fitment is up behind the rear cab on the right hand side, well away from scrub damage. Here the filter is also easily managed
